The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Head of Legal, Human Resources, and Governance to provide expert legal counsel and services in the areas of executive compensation, employee benefits, employment, and corporate governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all legal aspects of the company's global compensation, benefits, and employment programs, including employment litigation for a large workforce. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, particularly those applicable to a global systemically important bank. The Head of Legal, Human Resources, and Governance will also be involved in strategic decision-making, advising on legal and corporate governance matters, and representing the legal division in various industry forums.
Applicants must be recognized subject matter experts in legal issues related to executive compensation, employment law, employee benefits, and corporate governance, with a minimum of 12 years' of related work experience. The role requires a Juris Doctor degree, admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and a proven track record of managing and leading a team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organized, and have extensive problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities also include stakeholder management, risk evaluation, and providing sound legal counsel. The role demands a seasoned professional with the ability to collaborate across jurisdictions and departments, and with a diverse range of legal and regulatory experts.
