Role Overview
The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and a strategic partner to the CEO and Board. This role carries full accountability for the finance function, with a strong emphasis on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) as a driver of business insights and strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on executive who transforms financial data into clear, actionable insights that influence operational and commercial priorities. They will build and lead an FP&A capability that provides timely, accurate forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance measurement across the business portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board on capital allocation, financing, M&A strategy, and long-range planning
- Lead all financial functions, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of reporting, forecasting, and planning, with FP&A as a central focus
- Develop and implement a robust FP&A framework that delivers meaningful business insights, supports strategic decision-making, and drives accountability
- Provide executive leadership and storytelling through financial data—translating complex analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for growth and margin enhancement
- Drive financial due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition integration in a high-velocity M&A environment
- Build and lead a centralized, high-performing finance and accounting function across a multi-entity platform
- Develop scalable systems, processes, and controls to support rapid growth and operational complexity
- Oversee treasury, cash management, and working capital optimization
- Collaborate closely with commercial, operations, and supply chain leadership to integrate financial insights with operational execution
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including prior CFO or divisional CFO roles
- Experience operating across at least two tiers of the supply chain (supplier, distributor, retailer), with deep understanding of their financial and operational interdependencies
- Demonstrated expertise in FP&A as a core function—proven ability to develop insightful forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting capabilities that drive business performance
- Proven success operating in acquisitive, high-growth, or private equity-backed environments
- Strong M&A execution and integration background, including financial modeling, due diligence, and post-close operational alignment
- Culturally attuned to family-owned and/or privately held company dynamics; adept at navigating long-term partnership models and relationship-driven environments
- Hands-on, execution-oriented leadership style; able to lead while building scalable, institutional processes and teams
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to translate financial data into clear business insights for executive decision-making
- CPA, MBA, or other relevant financial credentials preferred
