American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring current compact licensure and strong telemetry and stepdown skills.Job Details•Work as a float RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) covering multiple departments, including MS/Tele, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, and Neuro Stepdown,•Night shift schedule with 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.,•Patient ratio is 1:5,•Regular floating is required between departments, units, and facilities as needed,•Must work 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, including a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,•Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments may be required,•Care for diverse patient populations, including cardiac, neuro, post-surgical, endocrine, respiratory, renal, orthopedic, and plastics cases,•Utilizes telemetry monitoring equipment and rapid response protocols,Job Requirements•Active RN license with both Kansas and Missouri or compact nursing license in hand at time of consideration,•Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or similar specialty experience, with at least 1 year within the last 12 months and no employment gap over 90 days,•Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS,•Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias,•Experience required in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, pre/post cardiac care, dialysis management, IV therapy, and central line management,•Must have experience with airway and respiratory device management, wound care, and tracheostomy care,•Must provide 2 professional references, including one from a supervisor and one from a charge RN, both from the past year,Additional Information•First-time travelers are welcome to apply,•Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per contract,•No travel partners are accepted for this assignment,•Pre-employment drug screening required; diluted or positive results that cannot be cleared will result in assignment cancellation and a 6-month wait for re-application,•Required compliance modules must be completed as part of orientation,•Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius will be considered local and are not eligible for the travel rate,•Facility may offer employment without an interview, but interview requests can be accommodated,•Professional isolation, wound care, and various medication administration protocols are part of daily responsibilities,),•hash,:• ,
