Role Description An established, reputable, medium-sized firm (with offices in WA and OR) is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate, specifically one that has at least 2 years of experience with construction, contract, personal injury, premises liability, and/or other complex litigation. Lien and collections experience is especially important.
Responsibilities
Contribute to handling complex civil litigation matters, including construction, contract, personal injury, premises liability, and related areas; lien and collections experience is especially important.
Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, pleadings, and other court filings with excellent attention to detail and strong writing skills.
Take depositions and/or present oral arguments in court as appropriate.
Accelerate learning by actively handling cases and participating in case development, with a focus on client relationships and mentorship.
Collaborate with partners in a supportive, team-based environment and pursue a real partner track in a genuinely collaborative setting.
Compensation Salary $95K-120K annually DOE. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, seniority, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Qualifications
2+ years of Civil Litigation experience; construction defect and insurance defense a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.
