As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Compensation & Benefits
Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $40.00/hr. Base rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; you can earn up to $40/hour with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. Get matched with students suited to your teaching style and expertise. AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on teaching. We handle logistics—you invoice for sessions; payments are processed by us. Responsibilities
Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring for HESI subjects. Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Deliver clear explanations and maintain engaging instruction. Prepare and tailor materials to student needs during sessions. Utilize the platform’s tools to enhance student learning and engagement. Qualifications
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in HESI with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education preferred. Notes
