Account Manager @ Zobility | US Recruitment Responsibilities The Global IT Director has a key role in the organization, responsible for:
Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation
Drives the global digital transformation agenda by aligning IT initiatives with long-term business goals. Leads the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, predictive analytics, cloud manufacturing platforms, digital twins, and AI-enabled process optimization. Builds a multi-year roadmap that transforms legacy systems, enables smart manufacturing, and delivers quantifiable gains in operational efficiency and product innovation.
Establishes a unified data strategy across global operations, ensuring high-quality, secure, and accessible data. Leads the implementation of data governance frameworks, master data management, and analytics platforms. Champions a data-driven culture by enabling advanced reporting, real-time KPIs, and business intelligence to support executive decision-making and operational agility.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
Provides strategic direction for global cybersecurity programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk frameworks. Oversees threat prevention, detection, response, and recovery capabilities. Maintains compliance with global regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, CCPA) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, TiSAX, NIST). Leads executive-level security risk reviews and board-level reporting.
Develops and maintains robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all mission-critical IT systems. Regularly conduct simulations, audits, and maturity assessments to validate readiness. Partners with regional leadership to align crisis response planning and ensure minimal disruption to global operations.
Financial & Strategic Investment Management
Directs strategic IT investment planning and financial governance. Manages multi-year budgets with a focus on optimizing ROI across infrastructure, applications, and innovation projects. Leads business case development, portfolio prioritization, and performance tracking to ensure alignment of IT spend with enterprise value drivers.
Establishes an innovation pipeline by continuously evaluating emerging technologies relevant to the automotive and manufacturing industries.
Organizational Change & Stakeholder Alignment
Acts as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Presidents, Board and Shareholders on all matters of technology strategy, risk, and innovation. Translates complex IT initiatives into business value language for non-technical audiences. Facilitates enterprise-wide consensus on IT priorities through transparent communication and collaborative governance.
Leads enterprise-wide digital change programs, focusing on user adoption, business process transformation, and cultural alignment. Apply structured change management methodologies to ensure successful transitions. Coaches executives and trains employees to embrace new tools, processes, and mindsets.
Global Technology Operations
Architects a scalable and efficient global IT operating model that harmonizes regional autonomy with enterprise-wide governance. Defines roles, responsibilities, and processes across shared services, local teams, and external partners. Drives continuous improvement through standardization, SLA-driven service delivery, and center-of-excellence development.
Oversee global vendor strategy, contract negotiation, and performance management for software, infrastructure, and services providers. Build strategic partnerships with tier-1 vendors (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CrowdStrike, Microsoft) to co-develop solutions. Manages outsourcing relationships and ensures alignment with quality, cost, innovation, and security expectations.
Driving AI-Enabled Innovation
Lead the integration of artificial intelligence into global business and manufacturing operations, including predictive analytics, digital twins, IoT, and smart manufacturing. Oversee AI-driven predictive analysis, data quality management, and advanced analytics to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance decision making. Continuously monitor AI trends and guide executive leadership on strategic adoption to maintain competitive advantage.
Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility
Aligns IT capabilities to support CSR initiatives including energy monitoring, emissions tracking, and supply chain transparency. Implement systems that enable compliance with global sustainability regulations and facilitate CSR reporting to stakeholders.
Leads global IT workforce planning and capability building. Develop programs for technical skill development, leadership succession, and cross-regional collaboration. Promotes inclusion by partnering with HR on inclusive hiring practices and employee development pathways.
IT Governance & Best Practices
Implements best practice frameworks to drive efficiency, scalability, and compliance in IT service delivery and architecture. Ensures audit readiness and continuous improvement through KPIs, dashboards, and structured reviews.
