Mass General Brigham . Position: Prelicensure Nursing Faculty, 1.0 FTE. Location: Hybrid; 100 First Avenue, Boston, MA. Job Summary
Responsibilities include the design, management, teaching, and evaluation of didactic or clinical nursing courses within the designated content area or other content as negotiated; providing general academic advising to students; participating in professional and service activities; and participating in scholarship commensurate with the level of appointment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Institute-specific faculty responsibilities and criteria for rank are outlined in the MGH Institute Faculty Handbook. Time spent in typical areas is negotiated but generally: Teaching: 50%
Teaches within or across programs as appropriate to area of expertise and program needs. Evaluates student achievement of nursing competencies appropriate to the program and level of learning. Participates in development, evaluation, and revision of the nursing curriculum plan.
Service: 30%
Serves on department, school and institute committees; participates in professional activities, student advising, and events. Participates in governance and policy development; contributes to the program evaluation plan.
Scholarship: 20%
Identifies an area of scholarship as outlined in the IHP Scholarship Model. Participates in scholarship activities within the identified domain commensurate with appointment level.
Note: Specific responsibilities may change based on needs and budget of the School of Nursing. Job descriptions and FTE percentage will be reviewed and negotiated annually. Education and Experience Qualifications
Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing and Master of Science in Nursing. Minimum of two years of full-time nursing experience, or equivalent within the past five years. Evidence of expertise appropriate to teaching area and certification in an area of specialization as required for faculty appointment at the Advanced Practice level. Doctoral degree preferred. Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with others. Working Conditions
