Overview Maintenance Manager - SJC Airport role at City of San José. The department seeks a dynamic individual to lead maintenance programs at San José Mineta International Airport (SJC).

Position Duties Under the Building Management Administrator, the Maintenance Manager plans, organizes, and directs the Airport's comprehensive building, airfield, and grounds management programs. Oversees day-to-day operations, the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and resources including staff and materials. This position will supervise several maintenance supervisors and other maintenance staff and provides 24x7 coverage to meet business needs. Salary and Compensation The final candidate’s qualifications and experience determine the actual salary. In addition to the starting salary, employees in this classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay. Salary range: $145,502.50 - $182,345.54 annually. Competencies

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, engineering, or related field and six (6) years of increasingly responsible maintenance experience in public infrastructure features (such as landscaping, sewers, streets, traffic control or related areas), including two (2) years of supervision at a level equivalent to Maintenance Superintendent with the City of San Jose. Acceptable Substitution: Additional maintenance experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. There is no substitution for the two (2) years of supervision experience at the Maintenance Superintendent level. Required Licensing: Possession of a valid State of California driver’s license may be required for some assignments. Employment Eligibility Federal law requires all employees to provide verification of their eligibility to work in this country. The City will not sponsor visas. A fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check and a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) check are required where applicable.
