Communications Coordinator
to help us share our story, engage our audiences, and amplify the voices of the communities we serve. About the Role As the Communications Coordinator, you will play a central role in implementing and supporting Home Forward’s internal and external communications. From managing digital platforms and social media to assisting with media responses and resident engagement, this position is all about helping people stay informed, feel connected, and access the resources they need. You’ll collaborate across departments, work closely with our Communications Manager and Director, and engage with staff, residents, and partners to create content that reflects our values. Responsibilities
Coordinate and update website, intranet, and SharePoint content. Develop content for internal and external communications—newsletters, emails, digital posts, and print materials. Support branding efforts for strategic plans, reports, and public-facing materials. Build relationships with residents and staff to inform storytelling and highlight lived experiences. Monitor media and digital platforms for emerging issues and help manage Home Forward’s media presence. Assist with public events, media inquiries, and records requests. Provide outreach support to the Tenant Advisory Council and other engagement efforts. What We’re Looking For
Strong writing, editing, and digital communication skills. Experience in social media, web content, or digital platforms. Organizational and project coordination abilities. Home Forward is conducting an active recruitment first internally, then externally if needed. We plan to screen and engage applicants as follows: Minimum qualifications review Written supplemental evaluation Panel interview with stakeholders Final hiring interview with Chief Operating Officer (if needed) Benefits

Employer Sponsored Time: standard 37.5-hour work week with 2.5 hours of paid time off per week to support work-life balance, while maintaining pay for 40 hours. Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Covered Employer: loans could be forgiven through PSLF. Long-Term Savings & Retirement: Home Forward contributes 12% into each employee’s pension plan plus a $750 match to the deferred compensation/457b plan each year. 16 Paid Holidays: over three weeks of paid holidays, including 4 days of organizational rest. Home Office & Internet Stipends: hybrid organization; $250 home office setup stipend and $150 annually thereafter, plus contributions to internet expenses. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in communications, public affairs, or related field preferred.
