Position Summary: The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for accurately processing and reconciling accounts receivable payments, ensuring proper application of cash, and resolving any discrepancies. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and communicating with customers as needed to obtain remittance details and ensure accurate posting of payments.

Key Responsibilities: Process and post customer payments to the appropriate accounts and invoices. Reconcile daily cash receipts with bank deposits. Research and resolve unapplied or unidentified cash items. Manage small balance adjustments, credits, and invoices. Communicate with customers to obtain missing remittance information. Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies. Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements. Assist with other accounts receivable and cash application duties as needed. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred. 1-3 years of related experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or accounting; 3+ years preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems. Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal stakeholders. Skills & Competencies:

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in business math, including percentages and reconciliations. Familiarity with ERP, banking, or financial systems is a plus. Professional certifications (e.g., NACM) are a plus but not required.
