Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Fort Thomas, KY (41075) - Greater Cincinnati area
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (3 shifts/week, every other weekend required)
- Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Start Date: ASAP
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1680
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact state RN license preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift
- Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience in a hospital setting (2 years highly desired)
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) or LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience preferred
- Ability to float to Ohio (OH) healthcare locations is a plus
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; identify and address patient teaching needs
- Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and deliver direct patient care using the nursing process
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission
- Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure continuity and safety
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary nursing staff and support personnel
- Promote patient and staff safety in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Contribute to team building, collaboration, and unit efficiency
- Maintain open communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing nursing education
