Overview
Contract role: 7 month CONTRACT, with flexibility for up to 9 months to cover a leave of absence. Regular shift 8AM - 5PM, fully onsite. Location: San Francisco, CA. Compensation: $32 - $39 per hour. Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years professional level Human Resources experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 - 5+ years professional level HR Generalist or HR Specialist experience. Immigration/visa sponsorship experience - required. Workday experience is highly preferred. Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of general human resources policies, procedures, labor laws and regulations. Ability to operate in a changing environment and manage ambiguity. Strong PC skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective relationships and partnerships with HR team and internal/external business partners at all levels. Detail oriented; proficient in researching and gathering information from multiple sources. Highly self-motivated and directed; team-oriented with a results-driven approach. Ability to take on new opportunities and tackle challenges with urgency, energy, and enthusiasm. Strong planning and organizational skills; commitment to achieving results. Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight and administrative support to ensure effective day-to-day HR operations. Lead the implementation and administration of HR programs, policies, and practices. Proactively ensure HR policies are applied consistently to resolve issues. Contribute to developing and enforcing HR policies and proactively resolve complex issues. Innovate and optimize work processes, systems, and programs. Audit and verify employee information, ensuring compliance with HR policies. Manage and enhance mobility programs, supporting employee transfers and relocations. Advise managers on mobility policies and streamline processes. Facilitate immigration status applications and employment authorization for employees and candidates. Act as a primary partner and point of contact with legal counsel, government agencies and third-party vendors for immigration, relocation and other HR programs support. Communicate and manage relocation packages; address and resolve escalated issues from employees. Maintain updated knowledge of laws, regulations and procedures governing mobility (relocation and immigration) and other HR programs. Lead special HR projects contributing to strategic initiatives and team goals. Perform other HR duties as needed, including special projects as assigned. Seniority level
