Proposal Specialist
to join our
Business Development & Marketing team
in Santa Ana, Long Beach, or Irvine. This role follows a remote work model. GFT Strategic Services supports the company’s global operations and includes Human Resources, Legal, Accounting & Finance, IT Services, and Business Development & Marketing. These teams are essential for transforming the business and improving efficiency. Responsibilities
Schedule, facilitate, and document proposal kick-off and color review milestones in accordance with best practices for proposal development. Work is monitored by the Manager for accuracy, timeliness, and quality. Compile and distribute meeting notes, action items, and review comments from all proposal meetings. Perform detailed analysis of Advertisement, SOQ, and RFP requirements; prepare compliance matrices/outlines and coordinate tasks for the proposal team. Communicate and follow up on technical team content development deadlines. Coordinate proposal resources (project management/technical input, proposal support, subconsultant input, graphics/print teams, and corporate input such as legal, HR, and finance). Identify and prioritize tasks, develop proposal production schedules for review by the Manager. Review all work product, ensure completion of assignments, and adherence to internal standards and quality control objectives. Edit and review technical sections; ensure incorporation of changes from review meetings. Enter key proposal data/milestones into CRM. Support sales interview teams as needed, with Senior Manager oversight. Collaborate with graphic designers to develop proposals and presentations. Education & Experience
Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, business or applicable field, or a technical/scientific discipline related to GFT's core business. Minimum of 3 years of combined proposal experience with increasing responsibility during the past year. Experience preparing proposals for capital public works projects and government agencies in California (e.g., Caltrans, Metro, BART) is strongly desired. What We Prefer You Bring
1–2 years of experience with RFP responses and some section writing experience. Exposure to architectural, engineering, design, and/or construction management services for transportation, facilities, and/or environmental market sectors. Excellent leadership, professional writing/editing, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. High competency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications. Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is
$75,000 - $90,000 . Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Hybrid (in-person and remote) work environment.
