Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location:

Interim / Contract This role is for an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide leadership and oversight of the financial operations for a healthcare organization during a transitional period. The Interim CFO will guide strong financial management, compliance, and strategic decision-making. The role requires a hands-on leader with a proven background in healthcare finance, capable of driving operational efficiency while supporting long-term organizational goals. Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight of all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry regulations. Direct financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting. Manage treasury operations, including cash flow management, debt compliance, and investment strategies to optimize liquidity and capital structure. Partner with executive leadership and department heads to support financial decision-making and operational planning. Lead, mentor, and support the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Assess financial risks and develop strategies to safeguard the organization’s assets. Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for enhanced financial efficiency within the healthcare setting. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a healthcare organization. Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, including reimbursement models, payer contracts, and regulatory compliance. Proven expertise in accounting, financial planning & analysis, and treasury management. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, transitional environment and provide immediate impact. Duration & Work Model
Duration:
Interim role with an expected duration of 6-12 months based on client need. Work Model:
Hybrid work model with some required on-site days each week. Compensation
Base pay range:
$160,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr This range is provided by Creative Financial Staffing (CFS). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Notes:
