Responsibilities

Plans, directs, and coordinates construction activities for a wide variety of projects.

Project types range from Water/Wastewater plants (primarily) to other concrete, commercial and industrial projects.

Typical workload is overseeing one large project or several smaller projects.

Ensure project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters, personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Manage Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen who supervise construction employees; provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team.

Duties and responsibilities

Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy.

Confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties and authority.

Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the project.

Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.

Review project proposals to determine timeframe, funding, procedures, staffing, and resources for various phases.

Review status reports and modify schedules/plans as needed; prepare project reports for management or client.

Provide technical guidance and resolve problems; represent the company in Owner progress meetings.

Manage financial aspects of contracts and project profit or loss.

Lead project team in daily field coordination, weekly block schedule, and monthly safety kickoff meetings.

Mentor and assist with career development of other team members.

Qualifications

Experienced Project Manager with Water Treatment/Wastewater experience.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams including Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
