Priority Staffing Group is seeking a skilled, passionate, and detail-oriented Cook to join the team of an upscale restaurant in Carbondale. The ideal candidate has a refined palate, exceptional culinary technique, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding dining experience. This position requires precision, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-end, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant recipes and presentation standards. Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of all menu items. Assist with prep work prior to service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times. Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards. Collaborate on menu development and daily specials. Properly store and label all food items and ingredients. Monitor food inventory and communicate shortages or quality concerns to management. Assist with training kitchen staff when necessary. Remain calm and focused during high-pressure service periods. Requirements:
Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in an upscale or fine dining environment. Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Culinary degree or professional training preferred but not required. High attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and take initiative. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Pay will be starting at $17-$20/hr. depending on experience. Will work 36-38 hours per week during the hours of Tuesday-Saturday 1pm-9pm. #zr
