Overview

The Director of Marketing will be accountable for key business-driving metrics, including customer count, campaign performance, and oversight of the marketing budget, with a focus on delivering measurable results through multi-channel marketing strategies. This position oversees the marketing team and reports to the Vice President of Marketing & Purchasing. Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Lead the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging, efficiencies and team development and execution. Develop and execute comprehensive annual and seasonal marketing plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand and revenue goals. Monitor, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics: Customer count trends and foot traffic; Marketing budget management and campaign ROI; Website performance and digital engagement metrics. Oversee marketing efforts to ensure brand standards, messaging and visuals are in alignment to attract and maintain guests. Direct outside ad agency on evergreen campaigns, seasonal campaigns, marketing vehicles, and analyze results. Assist in content creation to ensure timely, accurate messaging for guests. Support marketing needs of the company including retail divisions, landscape installation and design, HR/Training and growing divisions. Oversee the supplier-partner coop budget and ensure execution of committed dollars. Lead day-to-day marketing operations for: Advertising strategy and execution (digital, print, and in-store); Email and SMS marketing campaigns; Website content and development; Local event marketing and community outreach. Stay up to date on consumer trends, competitor activities, and retail marketing innovations to identify growth opportunities. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field 7+ years of progressive experience in retail marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Strong understanding of customer acquisition, brand development, and marketing analytics Proven success managing marketing budgets and optimizing performance across media channels Exceptional project management, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to travel regularly within the Southeast and occasionally to California Knowledge and passion for gardening, outdoor living, or lifestyle retail is a plus Seniority and Employment Details
