Overview
Join the Customer Service role at David’s Bridal. The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for interacting with all customers with a friendly, positive, authentic, empathetic, and professional approach to deliver a Five-Star Customer Service Experience. The CSR reports to the Store Manager, in partnership with the Operations Supervisor/Manager. The CSR supports the welcome desk, cash wrap, systems/processes, inventory management, and daily routines to ensure the store is excellent and that the customer has an exceptional shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person, over the phone, or via virtual chats; communicate clearly and concisely; adapt your style to the customer; problem-solve; demonstrate excellent phone skills and resolve conflicts.
- Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver a Five-Star Customer Service experience.
- Maintain service vows which include Being Prepared, Welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for all customers, including completing operational checklist tasks and addressing emotional and practical needs.
- Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once and contribute to the store’s achievement of Five-Star Customer Service.
- Proactively address customer concerns with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with the leadership team.
- Explain how alterations can improve a dress for the event in partnership with Alterations; promote all alteration services and personalization options.
- Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience and uphold the Dress Code policy.
- Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Engage in inventory management procedures by processing orders, receiving shipments, and ensuring first quality standards for merchandise.
- Support cash wrap processes and transact accurately to ensure customers feel celebrated.
- Assist with sales promotions and visual updates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; talking and hearing customers.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to see up close and at a distance, use peripheral vision and depth perception, and use a computer, electronic devices, and phones for long periods.
Education & Credentials
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 1–2 years of prior retail experience in apparel, service, or a specialty store environment.
