Overview

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for interacting with all customers in a friendly, positive, authentic, empathetic, and professional manner to deliver a consistent Five-Star Customer Service Experience. The CSR reports to the Store Manager, in partnership with the Operations Supervisor/Manager. The CSR supports the welcome desk, cash wrap, systems/processes, inventory management, and daily routines to ensure the store provides an exceptional shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm over the phone, virtually and in person; communicate clearly and concisely; adapt your style to suit customers; problem solve; demonstrate excellent phone skills and resolve conflicts.
  • Use store systems to manage customer flow and deliver a Five-Star Customer Service Experience.
  • Maintain service vows: Being Prepared, Welcoming, meeting needs, and supporting customers with both emotional and practical needs; complete operational checklist tasks.
  • Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously and contribute to the store’s Five-Star Customer Service achievement.
  • Proactively address customer concerns with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with the leadership team.
  • Explain how alterations can enhance the fit of a dress in partnership with Alterations; promote alteration services and personalization options.
  • Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience and comply with the Dress Code policy.
  • Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information; build and maintain relationships to exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Engage in inventory management procedures, including processing orders, receiving, and ensuring first-quality standards for all merchandise.
  • Support cash wrap processes and transactions with accuracy; participate in sales promotions and visual updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 1–2 years of retail experience in apparel, service, or a specialty store environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work with multiple customers at once; comfortable with computer systems and devices.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; reach, climb stairs, kneel, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds; good near and distance vision and ability to use computers and phones for long periods.
