Responsibilities

• Operate water/sweeper/tack truck as assigned and drive to predetermined destinations in accordance with commercial driving regulations and local roads.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and report any problems to the shop promptly.
• Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
• Work with Paving Crews and communicate any traffic or site condition issues promptly; obtain location information for job sites and route considerations.
• Comply with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair per the Truck Driver's Handbook guidelines.
• Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or related work experience
• 1-2 years CDL driving experience with a GVW of 33,000 pounds or greater
• Must have Tanker endorsement
• In compliance with all DOT physical requirements
• Valid class B Commercial Driver's License required
• Hazmat experience preferred but not required
• Skilled in loading and unloading fuel and oil from the fuel truck at terminals
• Valid Driver’s license required
