General Purpose
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company standards, maintains a clean work area at all times, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may be required to perform a range of functions in all areas of the Store as business needs require.
Essential Functions
- Safety is the number one priority; practices safe behaviors in everything they do and maintains a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; greets Customers and assists with merchandise and questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner.
- Provides prompt, courteous customer service and responds to service calls; involves Store Leadership as needed.
- Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
- Performs cleaning tasks and maintains clean and organized store areas; replenishes restroom supplies and disinfects high-touch areas.
- Maintains professional appearance and adheres to the dress code.
- Performs daily sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, and well-merchandised store.
- Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor following monthly presentation guidelines; maintains brand name familiarity within departments to assist Customers.
- Understands Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
- Safeguards confidential information, cash and credit card information, and merchandise.
- Follows MOS policies and proper processing for disposals; maintains awareness and accuracy with transactions.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements/Ada
- Ability to use Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds; use janitorial equipment and ladders as needed.
- Some assignments may require additional qualifications and skills.
- Stockroom shifts may require pushing, pulling and lifting more than 20 pounds.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $16.50 - $17.00 per hour. The range is dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, education, seniority, and location. This range is one component of the total compensation package.
