General Purpose
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets Customers, follows company standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The role requires flexibility to perform a range of functions in all areas of the Store as needed.
Essential Functions
- Safety is the number one priority; practice safe behaviors at all times.
- Maintain awareness on the sales floor to create a safe shopping environment; keep egress clear and report unsafe conditions.
- Treat Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates using company programs.
- Assist Customers as needed; be register-trained, help with merchandise, answer questions, greet customers, and thank them at checkout.
- Provide prompt and courteous responses to Customer Service calls and issues; involve Store Leadership as needed.
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks and replenish supplies to maintain merchandise, customer, and Team areas.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code.
- Perform daily sizing and replenishment to ensure a neat, clean, and organized store aligned to standards.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandise items per guidelines.
- Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise; act with integrity and honesty.
- Follow MOS (Missed-Out-of-Stock) policies and proper disposal review with Store Leadership.
- Adhere to cash, check, charge card, refunds, voids, and offline procedures; maintain accuracy with tender handling.
- Demonstrate urgency to maximize productivity and follow Store best practices.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required.
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; push/pull and lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies.
- Stockroom shifts may require lifting more than 20 pounds.

The base pay range for this role is $15.49 - $15.99/hour. The base pay range is dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, seniority, and location. This range is part of the total compensation package and may vary by position and location.
