Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, maintaining eye contact, and assisting with merchandise and store needs.
• Follow company standards for safety, cleanliness, and merchandise presentation; keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist customers, respond to service requests promptly, and escalate to Store Leadership when needed.
• Represent and support the Ross brand at all times; demonstrate integrity and protect confidential information, cash and merchandise.
• Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting high-touch areas) and replenish supplies as required.
• Adhere to dress code and professional appearance standards.
• Process stock efficiently, expedite new merchandise to the sales floor, and maintain brand name familiarity within departments to assist customers.
• Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards; follow MOS policies and cash handling procedures.
• Demonstrate urgency and maximize productivity by following store best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership in a courteous and cooperative manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods; regular bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds (some roles may require more).
• Ability to use store equipment and tools as required.

Compensation

• The base pay range for this role is $16.50 - $17.00 per hour, dependent on experience, location, and other factors. This range is one component of total compensation.
