We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to lead IT projects focused on hardware, infrastructure, and asset management. This role requires someone with strong technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. This is a long-term contract position based in Miami, Florida, offering an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the services industry.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects involving hardware deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and asset management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware systems, including servers, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure.
• Oversee the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, inventory management, maintenance, and decommissioning, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers to maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for hardware and infrastructure issues to ensure system reliability and minimize disruptions.
• Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to security and regulatory standards.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports, to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT technicians, engineers, and external vendors, to achieve project milestones.
• Utilize project management tools and asset management software to track progress and optimize workflows.• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of IT project management experience, with a focus on hardware, infrastructure, and asset management.
• Strong understanding of hardware systems, infrastructure technologies, and IT asset management tools.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and network issues to ensure operational continuity.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee compliance with organizational standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Project, Jira, or Trello, and asset management software like ServiceNow or Lansweeper.
• Certifications such as PMP or Agile Scrum are highly desirable.
