Staff Accountant Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant in the Middlesex County, NJ area. In this role, you will be responsible for sales and use tax, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger analysis, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and more. Responsibilities:

• Manual calculation of sales and use tax and reconcile ledger accounts.
• General tax admin work such as researching tax issues.
• Full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Support month-end close activities by preparing reports and verifying account balances.
• Generate reports and provide insights to support financial decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or other four-year degree with equivalent accounting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a staff accountant.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong time management, multi-tasking, and organization skills (ability to maintain a high level of flexibility and adaptability).
• Utilize accounting software to record and organize financial data.
