Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a similar law firm position
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills, including the ability to communicate complicated subject matter clearly; persuasive presentation skills; a talent for listening actively and well
- Practical, focused and hands-on mindset; demonstrated resourcefulness and self-directed behavior
- An understanding of the legal industry: market opportunities, competition, service offerings and competitive advantages—particularly in the New York and adjoining markets
- Preferred Experience: event management
- The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $175,000 annually, which is based on a 40-hour work week (including 3 days in the office)
- An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs
- This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay

Responsibilities
- Take an active role in the execution and follow-up of marketing & business development strategies
- Know and promote the firm’s business; drive communications and visibility efforts, including events and outreach to publications; collaborate with attorneys in identifying thought leadership topics and opportunities
- Manage preparation and submissions for industry rankings, awards, surveys, league tables, and other recognitions
- Oversee the firm’s website and social media presence
- Assist with the planning and implementation of strategic sponsorships, conferences, and memberships
- Drive coordination and planning of local events; work with attorneys to plan CLE content; develop targeted invitation lists to ensure key audience inclusion
- Ensure quality: all marketing collateral, communications, and materials are consistent and current
- Develop a marketing plan, including budget, optimal processes, and use of technology and resources
- Report to the Chief Operating Officer
