We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting HR operations, ensuring smooth onboarding processes, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies. This position is ideal for someone with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to fostering positive employee relations.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and execute onboarding activities to ensure new hires have a seamless transition into the organization.
• Maintain and update HR information systems (HRIS) with accurate employee data and records.
• Assist in conducting background checks and verifying employment documentation.
• Support employee relations initiatives by addressing inquiries and providing guidance on HR policies.
• Collaborate with the safety team to uphold workplace compliance and safety standards.
• Prepare and manage HR documentation, including contracts, policies, and employee communications.
• Facilitate the administration of benefits and payroll-related processes.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations.
• Provide administrative support to HR leadership, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.• Minimum of 1 year of experience in human resources or a related field.
• Proficiency in HRIS platforms and administrative tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage onboarding processes effectively.
• Knowledge of employee relations practices and labor laws.
• Experience conducting background checks and handling sensitive information.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance protocols in a manufacturing environment.
