Dental Assistant

Oakwood Family Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

• Full-time; Tuesday-Thursday 8:00-5:00; Friday 7:00-4:00; Long weekends!

Experience

• 1+ years of experience as a dental assistant required.
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification and RHS certification in AZ required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite programs.
• Experience taking digital x-rays, FMX.
• Must be flexible and able to pivot as needed throughout the day.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must complete regular HIPAA training, protect PHI, and maintain data safeguards.

More about the role

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures, following state dental practice act.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory, place orders as needed.
• Partner with team to implement systems and maximize workflow.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically.
