Overview


Pioneer Crossing Dental Care, a Heartland Dental Supported Practice, is looking for a Full-Time Experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. This role offers Monday-Thursday, 7:30am–5:30pm and two Fridays per month, 9:00am–1:00pm (hours subject to change). As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work with state of the art technology and be supported by a collaborative team. This position is patient-focused with an emphasis on learning and delivering quality care.


Location: 1224 SW Washington Boulevard, Bartlesville, OK 74006



Responsibilities



  • Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey; provide patient education throughout treatment

  • Review patient health histories to support quality care

  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)

  • Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act

  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping

  • Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols following OSHA and CDC recommendations

  • Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed

  • Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow



Minimum Qualifications



  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Oklahoma Dental Assisting Permit

  • Oklahoma X-Ray Certification

  • 1 year of Dental Assistant experience

  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment with high patient volume

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills

  • Adaptable to a changing work environment; sense of urgency; ability to meet deadlines; team player

  • Microsoft Office Suite experience



Preferred Experience



  • Dentrix or other dental software experience



Physical Requirements



  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds occasionally

  • Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically

  • TB test is required for all new hires in dental office positions; not applicable in FL & TN
