About The Role

As an IT Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our company's IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with various teams to manage and optimize the systems, servers, networks, and cloud-based services that support our daily operations. Your work will contribute directly to the seamless delivery of products and services to our customers.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Continuously monitor the performance and health of IT systems, networks, and services, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
  • Respond to and resolve IT incidents and outages around the clock, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, networking hardware, storage systems, and other IT infrastructure components.
  • Oversee the administration of cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and work to optimize cloud usage and costs.
  • Ensure the organization's IT infrastructure follows best security practices, including patch management, firewall configurations, access control, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Implement and maintain automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and streamline IT operations.
  • Work closely with the DevOps, development, and security teams to support application deployments, infrastructure scaling, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide regular reports on IT performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for employees, helping to resolve issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity. Help with onboarding/offboarding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3 years or more experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn and stay up to date with emerging technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, databases, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with IT troubleshooting, network management, and hardware maintenance.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.), and network protocols.

We’d Also Love To See

  • Experience with automation and scripting tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) is a plus.
