Paralegal/Paralegal Records Specialist will:
Collect and organize Division of Health Improvement program information including survey reports and other documentation in response to requests for public records; Redact and upload survey reports to the DHI websites; Assist with pulling and organizing records for special requests, subpoena, and other special projects. How does it get done?
Paralegal/Paralegal Records Specialist is responsible for:
Working with the various departments within DHI to identify data and program records and information to be presented to the public; Organizing and redacting records (survey reports) for the public DHI website and other requests (IPRA, FOIA); Organizing and managing records for preparation of hearings. Who are the customers?
New Mexico health facilities; General Public. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has:
Organizational Skills; Experience in redacting with accuracy; Experience in preparing data reports for the public; Excellent computer skills; Experience using MS office suite, Adobe Pro version, Word Press & Realfile; Experience processing sensitive records and personal identification information (PII); Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently and be a self-starter; Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with deadlines.
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in office administration. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. One or more years of experience in redacting and organizing and managing records and record requests.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting, utilizing a computer, and telecommunications equipment. Occasional travel may be required to perform program oversight activities and monitoring.
