The Chief Human Resource Officer ("CHRO") at Yakima Chief Hops ("YCH") is responsible for leading the Human Resources function at YCH, driving the company's human resources strategy and supporting its 300 employees globally. This role leads a team of 6 and reports to the company's Chief Executive Officer.

The CHRO will be responsible for overseeing the company's global Human Resources function and operations, while also fostering a strong culture that enables YCH's Mission, Vision, and Values. The CHRO will lead, develop, and implement employee-related programs and workplace culture initiatives that increase our organization's capacity and capability, while improving employee well-being and growth. This role will also drive YCH's workplace culture to inspire, motivate, and engage YCH's global team. The CHRO will also collaborate with the company's Executive Leadership Team to drive cross-functional and organizational success, serving as a resource for both employees and the organization, and as the liaison for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. This position serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on various issues, including employee relations, compensation programs, leadership development, and talent management. The CHRO will be responsible for compliance efforts and will partner with the HR team to ensure that the global organization's staffing and retention efforts align closely with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field. Master's degree or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in HR roles of progressive scope and responsibility, including HR leadership roles. Outstanding interpersonal, coaching, and listening skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Experience working in HR in a global organization, with international scope and experience. Proven ability to remain objective, discreet, and always exercise the highest level of integrity and confidentiality. Able to develop strong, trusting relationships with team members and throughout the company. Thrives in a dynamic environment and can work on various projects simultaneously, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. Connectivity and awareness to the local, national, and global external environment to anticipate business and talent threats and opportunities. Strategic thinking skills and imagination to help shape the organization to meet tomorrow's demographic challenges. Financial acumen to broadly balance resources and understand the financial implications and tradeoffs of investments in every aspect of the business, including talent. Technologically savvy to drive efficiencies and to engage the workforce through innovations in technology solutions. Strong knowledge of employment law, and other federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and a culture creator who can drive a culture of accountability and integrity. Experience in developing and implementing plans/programs to strengthen culture and engagement. The ability to convey the importance of talent at all levels as a fiduciary issue to the board and the executive leadership team. Operational ability to ensure that the transactional aspects of HR are well executed in a world of fast-moving and changing expectations of the employee population. Job Duties: Lead the company's global HR function and perform all other duties as assigned by the CEO. Adhere to and maintain a complete understanding of all company policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP, and cGMP to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Lead the company's compensation and benefits strategy and program management globally for all positions, both domestic and international. Track and administer global employee comprehensive benefit plans. Coordinate and lead professional development and training initiatives. Develop a strategy to create, maintain, and disseminate company employment policies while ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations. Lead the design and implementation of initiatives to enhance community, culture, and organizational performance. Stay current with industry trends and stakeholder engagement to ensure best-in-class recruitment, retention, and talent management. Develop and manage annual budgets for the department, performing periodic cost and productivity analyses. Investigate claims of misconduct and engage legal counsel as needed. Develop and execute resourcing and talent strategies, including succession planning, talent development, and retention. Act as liaison to the Board of Directors' Compensation Committee. Lead and inspire HR employees to deliver excellence, collaborating with leaders to prioritize strategic people initiatives. Partner with management to address HR operational issues such as employee and labor relations, compensation reviews, benefits, performance management, and training. Oversee hiring, staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee development, record keeping, employee relations, and retention. Maintain sanitary and safe work environment and follow safety requirements. May actively participate on company's Safety Committee. Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed. Must have a complete understanding of company's policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability. Must adhere to all company policies. Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
