Job Purpose:
Work closely with internal and external customers to identify, source, and supply replacement parts for industrial equipment including but not limited to mobile cranes and construction equipment in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
Essential Functions:
Facilitate Parts Orders and Requests, including Sales, Service, and Procurement. Source and Supply Parts for both Internal and External Customers, researching and supply quotes as needed. Maintain strong Customer and Supplier relations providing updates on the status of orders and estimates. Provides customers with product support as needed. Expedite Back Orders for Parts and Open Sales Orders. Process Return Material when parts are ordered or shipped wrong. Ensure that data for all work orders, PO’s etc. has been entered accurately in order to bill for services rendered. Resolve any issues regarding credits or rebills. Pursue new Business Opportunities through up selling. Follows up and/or provide sales team and General Manager with information that could turn into additional sales. Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries; Assist in delivering required training to ensure that all coworkers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely. Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external). Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability. Special projects or work as assigned.
Experience/Training/Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of industry related work history. Strong working knowledge of crane and construction equipment, customer service and parts procurement experience.
Desired:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of field and shop service scheduling, parts procurement,. Knowledge of industrial equipment repairs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess supervisory skills. Sound knowledge of safety practices and policies including OSHA and EPA regulations. Sense of urgency and commitment to quality. Strong Customer Service orientation. Must have a good understand of Microsoft Office applications experience with one or more ERP systems (ideally Epicor E9).
Physical and Environmental Elements:
Employees work in office, shop and field environments with potential numerous hours sitting and working using computer and telephone. When working in field or production environment will have exposure to noise and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Position may be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
