Join our team as a Solutions Architect and help accelerate our growing U.S. Department of Defense business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. Responsibilities
Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how on how applications and services are built on the AWS platform.
Serve as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
Provide thoughtful technical design and sensitivity to customer needs in the Defense markets for cloud computing.
Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community.
Collaborate with and educate others across the breadth of enterprise architecture.
Qualifications and Requirements
8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
Experience working with end user or developer communities.
Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using Linux/Unix and Windows with recommendations on server, load balancing, high availability/disaster recovery, and storage architectures.
Executive speaking and presentation skills, including whiteboard and small/large group presentations.
Technical experience with Web Services development/deployment and cloud computing.
Operational experience with website/services operations, management, and security.
Economic and business experience with RFP/acquisition support; technical architecture; understanding market trends; cost-benefit analysis.
Advisory/consulting experience with Defense Department customers.
Additional Requirements This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
A day in the life This team works with Army customers at various locations throughout the US and overseas. We listen to customer requirements, analyze potential solutions, and assist Army customers in achieving their cloud goals.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity Our compensation reflects cost of labor across US markets. Base pay ranges from $138,200 to $239,000 depending on location and experience.
