You will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver a strategy to build broad use of Amazon’s cloud services (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, and Amazon CloudFront) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your responsibilities include: Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects. Defining implementation architectures and responding to RFPs. Developing deep expertise in AWS technologies and in how applications and services are constructed on the AWS platform. Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services. Providing thoughtful technical design with awareness of customer needs in Defense markets. Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community. Learning from, collaborating with, and educating other technical minds across enterprise architecture. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures. 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries. Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or above. Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience. Experience working with end user or developer communities. Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients. Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with recommended server, load balancing, HA/DR, and storage architectures. Executive speaking and presentation skills; ability to use whiteboard and present to small and large groups. Technical experience in Web Services development/deployment and cloud computing. Operational experience with web site/services operations, management, and security. Economic and business skills including RFP/Acquisition support, technical architecture, market trends, and cost-benefit analysis. Advisory/Consulting experience with Defense Department customers. Note: A U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position. Team and Culture
