Overview

Genesis10 is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer for a 12+ month contract in the transportation industry in Atlanta, GA. This role is on a journey to transform the IT organization in the airline industry, focusing on meaningful and innovative solutions. Responsibilities

Focus on the design, construction, testing, implementation and optimization of infrastructure systems Investigate and resolve level 1 problems on network infrastructure hardware Utilize standard tools to analyze, identify, and resolve technical problems Serve as an escalation point for level 1 problems or incidents Analyze performance problems and recommend solutions to enhance functionality, reliability, and usability Serve as a liaison between the customer, suppliers, and other technical groups to resolve problems Perform high level analysis of complex network system integrations Apply specialized knowledge in network infrastructure to design, construct, test, implement, and optimize network infrastructure Lead teams to provide advanced design, architecture and diagnostic support Design, configuration, development, integration, and implementation of network solutions Coordinate with IT, CRE and other stakeholders to ensure projects align with business goals Monitor, operate, and maintain critical infrastructure across airport communication rooms and data centers (UPS, PDUs, generators, HVAC/CRAC, chillers, fire-life-safety systems) Conduct assessments to verify equipment performance, environmental stability, and compliance with IT and safety standards Ensure uninterrupted operations during utility power events by managing UPS and generator backup systems Support incident response and root cause analysis (RCA) to strengthen resiliency Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with NFPA, OSHA, FAA, and manufacturer standards Maintain accurate asset documentation, inspection logs, and compliance reports for critical environments Ensure data centers and comm rooms are maintained to industry standards with proper cooling, cable management, and secure access Support critical infrastructure modernization projects (UPS refresh, HVAC right-sizing, facility consolidations) Coordinate with CRE and IT stakeholders to implement facility upgrades with minimal operational impact Provide input on lifecycle planning, energy efficiency improvements, and sustainability initiatives Serve as liaison between IT and Corporate Real Estate for facilities management, maintenance contracts, and vendor coordination Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize critical locations and allocate resources effectively Provide technical expertise and clear communication to leadership for risk, resiliency, and investment decisions Ensure adherence to Design Standards for client-managed IT comm rooms, UPS, HVAC, generators, and Fire Life & Safety Systems Requirements
