Overview
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting to take on a pivotal role in directing all financial reporting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial reporting, including monthly consolidations, external quarterly and annual filings, and M&A-related reporting. This role involves developing a strategic roadmap for external reporting, leading accounting policy initiatives, and ensuring the consistent application of new U.S. GAAP standards. The VP of Accounting will also be a key collaborator with various internal departments to align on financial disclosures and will act as the primary point of contact for external auditors. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 12 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including 7 years in a leadership capacity. A deep understanding of US GAAP, a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, and strong experience in financial reporting preparation are essential. The role requires proficiency in ERP systems, knowledge of SEC regulations, and an understanding of SOX compliance. Experience in a multi-entity environment, particularly in real estate, is highly valued. The VP of Accounting will also be expected to champion process improvements, manage reporting requirements for lenders and investors, and ensure strong internal controls around financial reporting.
