Overview Global Specialty Recruiting (GSR) is responsible for hiring Amazon's most senior and specialized talent. GSR's Event, Marketing, and Conference team is seeking a senior program manager to lead and transform our global conference strategy, encompassing 20+ premier technical conferences. Our team's mission is to strategically engage talent worldwide while elevating Amazon's brand position as the employer of choice for technical talent. Technical conferences represent a cornerstone of our recruiting strategy and showcase Amazon's position as a global technology leader. The Senior Event Marketing Manager will define and drive the strategic vision for our global conference program, architecting scalable solutions that maximize recruiting impact across regions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to drive large-scale programs with significant business impact. You will partner with senior leadership to align conference strategy with broader recruiting objectives while building and leading high-performing teams across the globe. This role requires strong business acumen, data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence at executive levels. Experience leading complex, global programs with demonstrated success in strategic planning and operational excellence is required for this position. This role requires 20% travel and the ability to lead global initiatives across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the strategic vision for Specialty Recruiting Conferences, including multi-year planning and scaling strategies.

Develop and implement innovative programs to optimize senior Amazonian engagement at conferences, driving measurable improvements in recruiting outcomes.

Build and maintain executive-level relationships across business units while managing complex stakeholder requirements.

Design and implement comprehensive analytics frameworks to measure program effectiveness and ROI.

Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on program performance and market insights.

Lead and mentor program managers while building best practices and driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

5+ years of program or project management experience.

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.

Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

2+ years of driving process improvements experience.

Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
