CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a lightweight agent (sensor) installed on client machines to observe system activity, recognize malicious behavior, provide on-box prevention, and telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry, correlates malicious behavior across machines, and presents customers with a prioritized summary of detected threats. This Software Development Engineer (SDE) role covers the development of the sensor on Windows/Linux/macOS, owning design and development of features for the Exposure Management product group. Features may cross-cut core OS subsystems such as the file system, memory, process, and networking, with shared components across Windows, macOS, and Linux. The team operates under Agile principles and ships frequently. What Youll Do
Lead engineering efforts and work with Product Management to define the scope of work Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographically distributed groups Design and develop user-mode software for deployment on Windows systems Own features from design to delivery Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations Troubleshoot issues reported by customers and respond promptly Develop software for products as assigned (Falcon Discover and more) What Youll Need
Ability to develop high-quality C++ code for Windows OS, demonstrated through job experience or contributions to community projects Experience shipping major features and releases as part of a team Strong communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team Understanding of networking fundamentals Mac and Linux OS development experience is a plus Experience building cybersecurity-related products is a plus Experience developing product code with high concurrency and multi-threading requirements Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike
