CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity. CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product: a lightweight agent (sensor) installed on client machines that observes system activity and provides on-box prevention and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud; the cloud component aggregates telemetry, correlates behavior across machines, and presents a prioritized threat summary to customers operations teams. This Software Development Engineer (SDE) role focuses on delivering the sensor on Windows, Linux, and macOS, owning design and development of features for the Exposure Management product group. Features may cross-cut core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, process, and networking, with many components shared across Windows, macOS, and Linux. The team operates under Agile development principles and ships frequently. What You'll Do Lead engineering efforts and collaborate with Product Management to define the scope of work Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographically distributed groups Design and develop user-mode software for deployment on Windows systems Own features from design to delivery Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations Troubleshoot customer-reported product issues responsively Develop software for products as assigned (Falcon Discover, and more) What Youll Need Ability to develop high-quality C++ code for Windows OS, demonstrated through work experience or community contributions Experience shipping major features and releases as part of a team Effective communication and collaboration in a distributed team Understanding of networking fundamentals Mac and Linux OS development experience is a plus Experience building cybersecurity-related products is a plus Experience developing product code with high concurrency and multi-threading requirements Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike Remote-friendly and flexible work culture Competitive compensation and equity awards Wellness programs, generous vacation and holidays Paid parental and adoption leaves Professional development opportunities for all employees Employee networks and volunteer opportunities to build connections Vibrant office culture with global recognition CrowdStrike is an equal opportunity employer.
