This role understands customer issues, diagnoses problems, designs solutions and facilitates solution deployment, business analysis operations and support, and leads large transformation projects using domain and process skills in Smart Metering (AMI 1.0/1.5/2.0), Field Services, Customer Care, Billing, Payments, Credit & Collections, self-service functions, etc.
This position is based out of Rosemead, CA. The candidate can work from anywhere in the USA or remotely during PST time zone. Travel to project locations may be required. Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.
Responsibilities
Lead requirement gathering, functional design and business process definitions
Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the service/function/product provided
Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
Map customer requirements into the product and suggest workarounds/solutions
Create AS-IS and TO-Be process documents and identify gaps in the product/solution
Demonstrate a good understanding of AMI, Grid and CIS systems across the meter-to-cash value chain
Assist the Testing team with the functional areas to be tested
Be a team player and help the project team with any functional issues that arise
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty for each year of education.
At least 11 years of experience in Information Technology.
Experience within the utility sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry operations and strategic initiatives along with the listed responsibilities and skill sets.
Preferred Experiences
Proven track record of significant contributions and leadership in planning, implementing, and optimizing Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) programs, including smart meter deployment, data management, operational integration, Distributed Intelligence, AMI 2.0 planning, DI use cases development, AMI to ADMS integration.
Expertise in Grid Modernization, including DER integration, smart grid technologies, grid automation, analytics-driven grid operations, and resilience enhancements.
Ability to translate AMI 2.0 and Grid Modernization complexities into business value, roadmaps, and actionable plans.
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders (IT, Operations, Customer Service, external vendors, regulatory bodies, industry peers).
Ability to define and execute long-term strategies for evolving utility networks using emerging technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Understanding of utility market and trends (AMI 2.0, Distributed Intelligence, AI, Analytics, etc.)
Knowledge of AMI 2.0 market players (Itron, L&G, Honeywell, Aclara, Siemens, etc.)
Willingness to travel for consulting engagements
Excellent soft skills and leadership to lead assessment workshops
Exposure to US Utility Market specifically AMI 2.0 and Grid Modernization
Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities
Knowledge of ITIL, CMMI, Agile, JIRA, ADO is an advantage
Experience creating Backlogs with Epics, Features and User Stories
Experience in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
Experience in a Global delivery environment

Compensation Estimated annual compensation range for this role varies by location: In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ: 114,000 to 167,000 Washington, DC: 106,000 to 147,500
