Were a fast-growing cloud and managed services provider, and were looking for a Senior Systems Administrator with the experience and leadership skills to help take our engineering team to the next level. This role is hands-on and highly technical, but also includes mentoring and guiding other engineers. If you enjoy working on complex projects, serving as an escalation point, and helping shape a growing team, this is the opportunity for you. In this role, youll take ownership of advanced client deployments, troubleshoot high-level issues, and collaborate directly with leadership to influence service delivery and technical standards. While youll start with a strong technical focus, theres a clear path to expand into a team lead/manager role without fully stepping away from the engineering work you enjoy. What Youll Do Lead advanced infrastructure projects from design through implementation Serve as a senior escalation point for servers, networks, and cloud solutions Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) Mentor and guide Level 1 and Level 2 engineers to support their professional growth Work with leadership to build client roadmaps and ensure alignment on solutions Implement IT best practices, security standards, and consistent documentation Recommend and drive process improvements that enhance client outcomes What Were Looking For 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in an MSP or consulting environment Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and storage systems Networking knowledge: firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS/DHCP Proven ability to deliver projects while mentoring junior engineers Strong communication skills with both technical peers and non-technical clients Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote Health, Dental, and Vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and parental leave Career growth into a formal leadership role while staying technically involved Seniority level
