Under general direction of the Information Technology Manager I/II, the Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) ServiceNow Product Manager & CMDB Expert plays a critical role in managing and enhancing Covered California's ServiceNow platforms. This position is responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of the ServiceNow environment, with a primary focus on the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), alignment with business objectives, and compliance with state and federal governance. Travel expenses related to commuting to the office are not reimbursable, except as authorized. This position may be eligible for telework. In accordance with Government Code section 14200, only employees who reside in California are eligible for telework. In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate: Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing CMDB architectures, including class structures, relationships, integrations, and automation to ensure data integrity and IT service management best practices. Superior skills in collaborating with diverse internal IT units, business stakeholders, and external partners; ability to train and support staff and end-users; ability to produce clear technical documentation. Proven ability to establish and enforce governance frameworks for ServiceNow platform and CMDB management, including policy development and operational procedures aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements. Track record of providing functional leadership in technical teams, ideally within Agile environments, including mentoring and delivering subject matter expertise for ServiceNow upgrades, deployments, and configuration.
