Indianapolis, IN - Hybrid (23 days per week in office) Pay Range:

Minimum 5 years of experience in Aerospace or Embedded Systems Engineering degree required (Computer Science may be considered, but Engineering preferred) Programming in C, Rust, Python, Assembly Experience with safety-critical control systems Knowledge of DO standards and Military standards FPGA knowledge (highly desirable) Role Overview

You will work with systems security and embedded software engineering teams to develop secure, resilient solutions for aerospace and defense applications. This role spans the full product lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing, production, and support. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with systems security teams to determine technology and processes for system resiliency Learn and apply Secure Cyber Resilient Engineering (SCRE) practices Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital tools to meet program expectations Develop and update systems security and resilience best practices across projects Work with government, customers, suppliers, and industry experts to meet security and system requirements Architect, design, and develop high-integrity embedded software through verification and testing Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring delivery of schedule, cost, quality, and compliance objectives Identify, manage, and escalate technical, cost, and schedule risks in line with project risk plans Compile technical reports for certification, customer deliverables, and reviews Design for functional safety and security in aerospace applications Basic Requirements

Associate degree with 7+ years of experience in Electrical, Software, Controls, or Systems Engineering OR Bachelors degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Masters degree in STEM with 3+ years of relevant experience OR PhD in STEM (no prior experience required) Ability to obtain and maintain a high-level security clearance Preferred Requirements

Active security clearance (or ability to renew/reactivate within ~2 years) Knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-160, DO-326, DoDI 5000.8 Experience or strong interest in cybersecurity (secure product design, intrusion detection, digital forensics, risk assessment, recovery, etc.) Systems thinking aptitude, with ability to understand complex system interactions Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with software tools and languages: C, Python, Simulink, Assembly, MBSE Control system and embedded safety-critical software experience (DAL AC) Knowledge of RTCA/DO standards and Military standards for aerospace certification and qualification Contact
