Cost Accountant Manufacturing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in supporting cost control initiatives, driving efficiency, and providing accurate financial insights. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs), and a solid understanding of ERP systems and cost analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings; support ongoing BOM and routing revamp projects.
• Perform cost accounting functions, including standard cost updates, cost roll-ups, and variance analysis.
• Identify and analyze cost variances, particularly those impacting overhead, and recommend actions to drive cost reductions.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure accurate costing and process alignment.
• Support general ledger (GL) accounting activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
• Prepare and present KPI reports and dashboards to management, offering insights into cost drivers and performance metrics.
• Utilize Excel extensively for data analysis and reporting; experience with Power BI is a strong plus.
• Work within an ERP environment (Oracle preferred); collaborate with onsite Oracle specialists to optimize system usage.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of BOMs, routings, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Familiarity with KPI development and performance tracking.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Medical manufacturing experience would be a nice-to-have.

Work Environment:

This is a fully onsite position at a growing company located just south of York, PA.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
