Legal Assistant - Business, Municipal/Government, Employment

Work model: On-Site 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday What you will do: File correspondence and legal documents in the e-filing system Review incoming and outgoing email correspondence Track deadlines and complete reports Process billing, time entry, and expense reimbursements Manage and run general ledger reports Draft emails to clients with outstanding invoices Handle phone payments from clients Support clients with invoice-related questions Compose, draft, and type documents and correspondence Proofread, redline, and edit documents Review documents to ensure comprehension, appropriate grammar/punctuation, and overall accuracy Prepare Trademark applications, monitor deadlines, and guarantee timely submittals Manage a timeline of all deadlines Collaborate with litigation specialists File documents with the US Patent & Trademark Office, as well as state/federal courts What you will need to be successful: 3+ years of Law experience Proficiency with Excel, Word, Adobe, TABS, and FlexTrac (or similar IP Docketing software) Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including strong spelling and accurate grammar skills Previous experience with Intellectual Property support (preferred) A team player with a friendly, positive attitude, motivation to learn, and a high level of effort Benefits overview: Health and dental insurance 401k PTO Interested and qualified candidates can contact KK Palea at (515) 225-7000 or email KK at kpalea@thepalmergroup.com.
