VICE PRESIDENT OF COMPLIANCE HOPEWEST NONPROFIT SERIOUS ILLNESS CARE PROVIDER A nationally respected nonprofit healthcare organization that delivers hospice, palliative care, grief support, and PACE services across Western Colorado. With more than 30 years of community service, a commitment to dignity and compassion, and deep roots in the region, HopeWest offers a unique environment for mission-driven leadership. The Vice President of Compliance will report to the President & CEO and serve as the senior leader responsible for designing and overseeing the organizations enterprise-wide compliance program. This includes ensuring full adherence to applicable healthcare regulations and legal standards, managing internal and external audits, and fostering a culture of ethical accountability and transparency across departments. The VP will lead the Compliance Committee, coordinate regulatory readiness across hospice, PACE, and serious illness programs, and serve as a key liaison to legal counsel. Additional responsibilities include supporting privacy and licensure functions, managing organizational responses to audits and legal requests, overseeing grievance resolution, and presenting annual reports with actionable recommendations to the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will bring 610+ years of progressive compliance leadership experience within healthcare, with a strong preference for those with exposure to hospice or serious illness care. A registered nurse (RN) license is highly desirable. This leader will demonstrate high emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence across a matrixed structure without direct authority. Calm under pressure and grounded in mission, they will be both a strategic partner and an operational executor. This position is based in Grand Junction, Coloradoan area known for its exceptional quality of life, natural beauty, and strong sense of community.
