Engineer, Technical Liaison

Job Summary: We are seeking a bilingual (Mandarin and English) Technical Liaison Engineer to directly support the Chief Engineer of Shuttles in the ground-up development of a new clean urban transportation product line. This individual will act as the Chief Engineers right hand, bridging technical and cultural gaps between U.S. and China-based teams, and ensuring clear communication across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and management.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical or electrical engineer with strong CAD skills, a solid foundation in automotive/mobility technologies, and an eagerness to learn quickly. ENC values adaptability and growth potential above extensive prior experiencethis is a role for someone who thrives in fast-changing environments, can grasp new concepts rapidly, and communicates technical information clearly across cultures and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities: Serve as chief-of-staff to the Chief Engineer of Shuttles, supporting product definition, concept development, specifications, and bill of materials. Act as a translator and cultural bridge, ensuring accurate communication between U.S. and China-based teams (engineering, suppliers, and R&D partners). Create and manage CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation in both English and Mandarin. Provide engineering support across mechanical, electrical, and systems domains, with flexibility to learn and contribute where needed. Assist in problem-solving, design reviews, and prototyping, ensuring alignment between global teams. Travel with the Chief Engineer to China and other locations as necessary to maintain project continuity. Contribute to a culture of speed, innovation, and adaptability in developing ENCs new shuttle platform.

Qualifications: Education/Background:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related Engineering field, OR equivalent hands-on engineering experience. Experience in automotive, mobility, or transportation technologies is required. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or similar) is required. Ability to read and generate engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports. Comfort with digital collaboration tools across global teams. Language & Communication:

Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written). Able to clearly explain technical concepts across cultural and professional boundaries. Skilled in multiple forms of communication: formal documents, CAD visuals, sketches, or quick conceptual diagrams. Hungry to learn, adaptable, and resourceful. Strong problem-solving skills with curiosity for new technologies. Flexible enough to work across different time zones, teams, and disciplines. Builds trust easily and communicates with clarity. Additional Information

Location: On-site at ENC headquarters in Riverside, California. Travel: Willingness to travel internationally (China and other locations) several times per year.
