Job Title: Phlebotomist Location: White River Junction, VT Duration: 6 months contract. Job Summary We are seeking a licensed and patient-focused Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team in White River Junction, VT. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures safely and accurately, while ensuring compliance with state and local requirements. This role is essential to supporting diagnostic testing and providing compassionate, high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform blood draws (venipuncture, fingersticks, and heelsticks) and other specimen collections as required. Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling and handling of all specimens. Maintain accurate records and enter data into laboratory information systems. Ensure compliance with all state, local, and facility-specific regulations governing phlebotomy practices. Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards. Provide a professional and positive patient experience, addressing questions and concerns with empathy. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and laboratory staff for timely and accurate sample processing. Qualifications Current and valid Phlebotomy license required High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy training program. National certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP, NHA, AMT, or equivalent) strongly preferred. Prior experience in phlebotomy or clinical laboratory setting preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and accuracy.
