Travel RN - Med/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Oncology position with a minimum of 2 years' inpatient oncology experience and Cerner charting required.Job Details•Work on a combined Oncology Progressive Care and Medical unit within a hospital setting,•25-bed unit specializing in patients with a diagnosis or history of cancer, progressive care, and end-of-life care, including Hospice,•Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals,•Patient ratios are 1:4 or 1:5,•Infusion pump management, IV starts, and blood/blood product administration required,•Must follow neutropenic and isolation precautions,•Night shifts available in 3x12 or 4x12 hour blocks,•Every other weekend coverage required,•No call responsibilities,•Uses Cerner EMR system,Job Requirements•Active RN license (IN or Compact) required at start,•Minimum 2 years' experience in inpatient oncology or Med/Surg with oncology focus,•BLS required, ACLS preferred,•Experience with blood product administration, infusion pumps, and starting IVs,•Graduate from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE,•Cerner charting experience required,•SSN and DOB required for consideration,•Must provide two supervisor references,•Perm or PRN employees of IU must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler,•Locals are not accepted for Med/Surg, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, or ER positions,Additional Information•Care for stable progressive care, oncology, and end-of-life patients in a collaborative team environment,•Candidates will become chemotherapy trained on the unit,•Opportunity to pursue Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certifications,•Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays,•Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO auto-approved; more requires approval,•Scrub color not specified; follow hospital guidelines,•First-time travelers are welcome,•Background check required before offer,),•hash,:• ,
